warsfeilIC InfoName: Saruhiko Fushimi
Canon: K
Reserved: Yes.
Personality: Due to an emotionally abusive childhood in which Fushimi's father actively stifled any joy, happiness, or self-esteem that Fushimi might have managed, Fushimi grew up into an incredibly mistrustful and poorly adjusted adult. He's terrible at his emotions (but getting better!), and even worse at communicating to other people that he has them. When he finally makes a singular friend, he is intensely possessive of him to the point that he gets extremely jealous of this friend having other friends -- and then, in an emotional display you'd expect from a 5 year old, decided to betray said friend, in the hopes that if they couldn't be best friends, they can be best enemies! Hah! That will show him.
Despite this large setback in the way of friendship, Fushimi has been learning how to cope with actual friends. He has more or less made up with said best friend, promised to communicate better, and appears to have developed the important life skill of not completely self-destructing at every possible turn.
Ignoring his lack of emotional intelligence, Fushimi is very traditionally intelligent: he's very quick-witted, capable of thinking on his feet in a fight, and enjoys doing things such as "hacking into extremely secure government systems" and "programming his own chat app from scratch" in his free time. He's also extremely valuable in a real fight, not just a digital one -- he carries an absolutely paranoid amount of throwing knives on him and is well-trained in using a sword, on top of that. He can also be quite ruthless, choosing to take the most efficient path to get somewhere -- he uses chloroform on a girl to break into a building at one point, for example.
It's easy to think, at first glance, that Fushimi is extremely lazy. He complains under his breath when told to do things (which he's usually already doing), he lives off of calorie mate and canned coffee, and in general, he's relatively content to not strain himself. It's the fact that he expends any effort at all that proves that he has respect for the people that he works with, and he's only really fired up about anything when his former/current/"relationship status: it's complicated" friend is involved.
Fushimi is also guilty of letting fear rule him. The reason he betrayed his best friend was partially fear at being left behind; he's incapable of fighting against an enemy he sees as too strong; he hallucinates his dead father on a semi-regular basis.
Overall, Fushimi is a little terrified, extremely intelligent, self-sabotaging (but getting better), talented, and totally terrible at navigating social situations or anything resembling friendship.
He's getting there, though.
Sample Objectives: "Telling the truth", to continue to propel his characterization forward into being less avoidant
"Knifeplay", because he has like two dozen of them and he'll be confused and turned on either way.
Sample: At a previous game.
Sample Game Mechanic: I intend to utilize the servant/master system to force him to realize that he Actually Cares for Some People and let him be a little possessive.
